Bangla Tigers: T20 cricket is a game full of entertainment for the fans. The batsmen having the authority to go after the bowling from the very first ball excites the fans. Because everyone loves to see more sixes, fours, and wickets. That’s why, to make it more entertaining, the UAE Cricket Board launched a one-of-a-kind league in 2017.
This was a 10-over tournament, which is called the Abu Dhabi T10 league. So far, the T10 league has successfully held 5 seasons till now. Fans are eagerly waiting for its next edition. The organizers have not confirmed the fixture, but the upcoming season will kick off on November 23 and end on December 4. A total of 34 games, including the finals. The Deccan Gladiators will defend their title this season.
Bangla Tigers
One of eight franchises in the T10 league is the Bangla Tigers, owned by Mohammad Yasin Chowdhury. This team made its T10 debut in 2019 and has played three seasons so far. Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan is the captain and the most iconic player in the team. The Tigers didn’t have a good run last season. They ended up in fourth place with six wins and four losses in 10 games. Stuart Law is the head coach of the team, and Paul Nixon and Shaun Tait are the two assistant coaches.
Bangla Tigers 2022 Squad
Just like in the last edition, it will be Shakib who will lead the team. But the franchise has picked some really good players in the recently concluded player draft on Monday (September 28). Shakib, along with Mohammad Amir, Benny Howell, and Hazratullah Zazai, are the same players from last season. They have also picked Sreesanth, Matheesha Pathirana, and Umair Ali to strengthen their pace-bowling department.
The franchise has also picked Ben Cutting and Dan Christian to give the team all-round options. Colin Munro, Evin Lewis, Chirag Suri, and Jake Ball will add firepower to the batting department. Regardless of the previous season’s performance, the current squad is looking to improve with so many all-rounders. Thus, this team will surely be the team to beat for other opposition in the tournament.
