The 2019 ODI World Cup saw a complete turnaround. The 12th edition of the marquee event took place in England and Wales. A total of 10 participants competed in the tournament. This tournament saw 48 games in total, including the final. It was played across 11 different venues in England and Wales.
Unlike the other editions, it saw all ten teams play one game each against the other nine opponents, and the top four teams advanced to the final. The top four teams to finish the group were India, Australia, England, and New Zealand. However, just like the previous two editions in 2011 and 2015, it saw the host win the tournament. England won their maiden ODI World Cup in 2019 at home under the leadership of Eoin Morgan. They also won a cash prize of USD 4 million.
