The Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium is located in the Uppal suburb of the city of Hyderabad in India. It is a new cricket stadium built in 2004 over an area of 16 acres (65,000 square meters). Presently, the stadium has a capacity of 55,000. The stadium is owned & operated by the Hyderabad Cricket Association. In first-class cricket the stadium is home to the Andhra Pradesh State Cricket Team & the Deccan Chargers team playing in the IPL.

The stadium has both test & one-day status from the ICC meaning all types of cricket matches can be played here. The first test match on this stadium was played in the year 2010 between India & New Zealand. The first one-day on this ground was played much earlier between India & South Africa.
