M A Chidambaram Stadium, commonly known as the Chepauk, is a cricket stadium located in the southern Indian city of Chennai, India. Built in the year 1916, the stadium is one of India's biggest with a capacity of 76,000 spectators. It is owned & managed by the Madras Cricket Club. It is the home ground of the Tamil Nadu state cricket team that plays in Indian domestic cricket & the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL.

The Chepauk hosted its first test match in the year 1934 that was played between India & England. The first ODI on this ground was played in 1987 between India & Australia. Virender Shewag's 319 against the Proteas is the highest test score on this ground. The second highest ODI score was also made on this ground by Saeed Anwar against India. It was the highest ODI score till Sachin Tendulker broke it with his 200against the South Africans.
