The Newlands cricket ground is located in Cape Town, South Africa. It is one of the major cricket grounds in South Africa. It is regarded as one of beautiful cricket grounds in the world overlooked by the fantastic Table Mountain & the Devil's Peak. The ground has a capacity of 25,000 spectators. The ground is currently known as Sahara Park Newlands because of sponsorship issues.

The Newlands Cricket Grounds is home to the Cape Cobras, a South African domestic cricket team. The ground has both ODI & test match status from the ICC. The first test match on this ground was played way back in 1889 between South Africa & England. The first ODI on this ground was played in the year 1992 between South Africa & India. The ground also hosted some of the matches in the 2003 World Cup which was held in South Africa & Zimbabwe. Earlier the ground had grassy embankments at some places. But in 2002 in the run up to the World Cup those embankments were replaced with traditional gallery which took the capacity of the ground to 25,000.
