Eden Park is one of the biggest sporting venues located in Auckland, New Zealand. It is a multi-purpose stadium which hosts various sporting events. But the concentration normally is limited to holding rugby & cricket matches. The stadium was opened for public use in the year 1990 with a capacity of 50,000 spectators. The capacity can be increased to 60,000 with temporary seating arrangements. The Auckland State cricket team uses the ground as their home ground.

In 1930, the first test match was played on this ground between New Zealand & England. 46 years after the first ODI was played in 1976 between New Zealand & India.
