The New Zealand Cricket team is one of the two team having status ranking in the Oceania continent, next to Australia. The team is known as BLACK CAPS and is administrated by New Zealand Cricket (NZC). The team was granted test status way back in 1930 but could only win its first test in 1954 against West Indies.

Although team was one of the toughest team at their homes, recently their performance has been equal to worst. Team has badly lost series against Bangladesh by margin of 4-0. This was not all over, as they were white washed by India in their next tour.

The recent downgraded performances, has got call to axed all the non performing players from the team and restructure the team management. The leadership of the team is in the hand of Daniel Vettori which is known for his all rounder performance.
