Delhi Daredevils is a franchise owned by the GMR Group that plays regularly in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Indian batsman Virendra Sehwag is the captain of the team while Australian Greg Shipperd is the coach. The team has participated in all editions of the IPL so far, but has failed to make mark in any of them. Their best performances have come on the 2008 & 2009 seasons when the team reached the semis but could not make it to the finals. But 2009 was their best IPL season when they won 10 out of 15 matches they played.

The team has many well-known international players in its rungs. Notable players include David Warner, James Hopes, Ajit Agarkar, Venugopal Rao, Naman Ojha, Ashok Dinda etc. Legendary Australian fast bowler Glenn McGrath was also a part of the team earlier, but he quit cricket because of his age. Home ground of the team is the Firoz Shah Kotla Ground in New Delhi.
