IPL Team Squad 2013
By Hitesh Jain on Mar 20, 2013
Indian Premier League, the cash rich T20 tournament brought forth by Board of Cricket Control in India in 2008, has acquired a larger than life status now. With the league looking forward at the beginning of its sixth season, the numbers that have scaled in the money associated with multiple aspects of IPL has provided a stable platform for young aspiring cricketers, not only in India but around the world. Sixth ipl schedule would be starting from April 3 2013 and the registered team squad of all the 9 participating teams for this season have come out.

Those who have followed the league ardently since its beginning would realise from these registered team squads of IPL teams that much emphasis is now laid on young talents. Further, demand of cricketers who are hitherto unknown in international cricket but have seen success in their respective domestic T20 tournaments has scaled immensely. The big buys of Glenn Maxwell by Mumbai Indians and Christopher Morris by Chennai Super Kings in ipl 6 auctions epitomise this fact.

However, the league’s sixth season is not just about young guns looking to make it big in cricket world. It is also about those names that have lost their shine with passing time. This includes names like Yusuf Pathan of Kolkata Knight Riders, Ajantha Mendis of Pune Warriors India, among many others. Performing better in ipl 2013 would not only redeem their monetary value for their respective IPL teams but also their fan following which has remained intact.
